A surprising family holiday that offers you the mix of history, culture, nature and entertainment available in Trentino-South Tyrol (and beyond…)
As we all know, on a family holiday, the real focus is on the children. In our village, you won’t just find dedicated areas and activities for kids, but also welcoming accommodation where they can relax and enjoy the fun. Sleeping away from home is sometimes a real celebration!
Art and nature in an open-air exhibition, since 1986 Arte Sella has been providing a fascinating route among works by well-known architects and contemporary artists, called to immerse their creative sensitivity in the natural setting of the gardens belonging to Villa Strobele and the area of Malga Costa. A visit to this magical location, just a few kilometres from Borgo Valsugana, is a must, especially with all the family. It is just a half hour's drive away from our Village.
One of the main theatres of World War I in Italy was Trentino and South Tyrol, and military installations such as Forte Colle delle Benne, Forte Busa Granda, Forte di Tenna, Forte Verle and Forte Pizzo are evidence of this. If you are interested in the history of these locations, you can’t miss a visit to the Permanent Museum of the Great War, located in Borgo Valsugana: an exhibition that is renewed every year, and which brings together historical finds and war relics from different private collections.
About an hour's drive from our Village, you will find Riva del Garda, a charming village on the shores of Lake Garda at the foot of Mount Rocchetta. Riva is not just a perfect base for a day discovering the food and wine specialities and splendid scenery of Lake Garda, it is also a handy starting point for fun panoramic outings on foot or by bike, such as the Ponale Trail for example. A day in these locations is the best way to regenerate your mind and body.
Our Village is in Levico Terme, a town near the major tourist destinations of Trentino-South Tyrol, but also not too far away from the Veneto region. For example, getting to Verona wil take you less than an hour and a half’s drive. Verona is not just famous for being the setting of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet or for its Arena, but also for its vital city centre and for monuments like the Roman Amphitheatre, the Museum of Castelvecchio, the Museo Lapidario Maffeiano stone museum, and much more.
