The Romagna Riviera is getting closer: Munich-Cattolica trains and London-Rimini flights in 2025

In 2025, the Romagna Riviera will be even easier to reach thanks to daily trains from Munich to Cattolica and weekly flights from London to Rimini.

In 2025 foreign tourists will find it even easier to reach the Romagna Riviera and the Club del Sole Villages in the areas of Ravenna, Bologna, Rimini and Riccione. From April there will be a daily train service from Munich to Cattolica, and from 3rd May there will be weekly flights from London Heathrow to Rimini's Federico Fellini International Airport.

These innovations mark an important step in the direction of ever more interconnected and convenient mobility and will facilitate the arrival of foreign guests in one of Italy's most popular tourist destinations.

Here are all the details of the new trains and planes:

Munich-Rimini train: a new connection for international tourists

From 17th April to 6th October 2025, a new daily train, operated by the German Db and Austrian Öbb railways, will run to Cattolica (and back), stopping in Bologna, Cesena, Rimini, Riccione and Cattolica, allowing German guests to reach the entire Romagna coast more quickly. The trains will be Siemens RailJet New Generation, with Wi-Fi on board, a total capacity of 532 seats and a maximum speed of 230 km/h.

New flights between Rimini and London with British Airways

British Airways has announced three new weekly flights between London's Heathrow Airport and Rimini's Federico Fellini International Airport from 15th May until 27th September 2025. The flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays, departing from London at 3.20pm (Monday), 4pm (Tuesday) and 3.45pm (Saturday), and from Fellini at 7.40pm (Monday), 8.15pm (Tuesday) and 8pm (Saturday). A novelty aimed at internationalising the tourist offer of Emilia-Romagna, taking advantage of Heathrow's strategic position as a hub for tourists from the USA and Canada.
